You may choose between the 4 types of Jelly that we have.

The Strawberry, Honey, and Amagogga Jelly are already made and can last up to 6 months unrefrigerated. Feed 1 tsp to your ants for a large colony and 1/2 tsp to a smaller colony. It comes in a 50g tub.

The Amagogga Jelly is made for your convenience and contains mealworms, crickets, honey, and the necessary sugars that your colony needs.

The dry Jelly will make 1 cup - 250ml of jelly. Ant Jelly will not melt but the dry jelly, once made at home, needs to be refrigerated. You will only need to feed your ants 1 teaspoon at a time, depending on how large your colony is. The consistency is like a jelly so your ants find it easy to feed on.

This dry Jelly has the nutrients and sugar that your ants need, but don't forget that they will also need their proteins.

How to make the jelly.

Add 1 cup of water to a small pot. Heat until almost boiling. Add the contents of the packet. If you would like to add food coloring, now is the time.  Add 1 drop of your choice of food coloring. Stir the contents and bring to a boil, watch the pot carefully as it will overflow, and take it off the heat if you see the liquid rising. Simmer on low heat for 2 minutes. Take it off the heat and allow it to cool. If you allow it to cool completely, it will form the jelly in the pot.

Notes on using normal store-bought Jelly:  Ant Jelly is not store-bought. If you choose to try gelatine Jelly from the store, remember that it does melt and can drown your ants.
